Deal is an historic town of 28,000 people on the east coast of Kent about 9 miles north of Dover. Residents and visitors value its tranquil atmosphere while the town centre offers a vibrant shopping area. A wide variety of daytime activities and evening entertainments are available. We look forward to welcoming you to our town.
The Chamber of Trade was first established in 1905 and currently has a membership of nearly 200, mainly small businesses. Its original purpose was to "To promote and protect the trade, commerce, manufactures and professional interests of the Borough of Deal and surrounding districts". This remains a valid Mission Statement for today and our activities are geared towards that end. It is not a division of the district or county council and is not directed or governed by the British Chambers of Commerce or any other larger organization.
It remains an independent body, run by volunteers, and funded by its members. Those businesses are eager to be of service to you.
